Big Polluting Mines in Minnesota near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Get Approvals

The proposed Twin Metals mine near Ely got its lease renewed by the Trump administration.The PolyMet mine got air and water permit okays.  Both copper nickel sulfide mines could pollute the pristine air and water.  Twin Metals is by Ely, next to the BWCA.  The PolyMet mine could pollute Duluth's drinking water.    Join the Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness to protect the wild life and wild places.
