We’re partnering with the Center for Biological Diversity to raise awareness for the chambered nautilus. We’re donating proceeds from these shirts to the Center to help protect vulnerable wildlife and wild places.
The chambered nautilus, a charismatic cephalopod known for its exceptional spiraling and chambered shell, has barely changed since appearing in the fossil records around 500 million years ago. This unique species is described by scientists as a “living fossil”. But due to international shell-trade markets, the chambered nautilus is at risk of going extinct. The Center for Biological Diversity petitioned the National Marine Fisheries Service to list this species under the Endangered Species Act and in 2018 successfully achieved protections for the nautilus.
The colorful tee features the Center’s mission of "Saving Life on Earth" as well as a sleeve printed with their logo.
The Center for Biological Diversity has saved 727 species and more than 700 million acres of critical habitat. Find out more about the efforts to protect the chambered nautilus and other wildlife at the Center for Biological Diversity's website.
