In the summer when I walk along a foothill trail, small blue butterflies sometimes land on my socks and legs, attracted to the salty moisture. Higher up in the alpine forest when I sat down on a log to rest and drink some water near Ypsilon Lake, a colorful butterfly landed on my leg. Otters, bears, wolves, and foxes like to play.
