Access Fund is the largest climbing conservation non-profit in the country. Their mission: To lead and inspire the climbing community toward sustainable access and conservation of the climbing environment. Access Fund accomplishes this mission through boots-on-the-ground stewardship. Our Conservation Teams travel the country to lead trail days at high impact climbing areas. They also accomplish their mission through education. Climber Stewards basecamp at 6 of the country's most popular climbing areas to meet climbers where they are and empower them with vital information on local ethics, leave no trace principles, awareness of local wildlife and plants and relational dynamics with local land managers. The final piece of the puzzle is advocacy. From local governments all the way to Washington D.C., Access Fund works behind the scenes to ensure that there are policies in place that protect our ability to climb for generations to come.
