NET NEUTRALITY

Net neutrality- stop the big phone and cable companies from starting to charge more for quick sending of email and web connections. They will charge more for quick sending and receiving and give priority to those companies that pay more- ie big oil, big tobacco, big cable and phone cos like Verizon, AT& T, Comcast, Qwest, Fox, big pharmaceutical cos., big banks, etc… This will limit small business competition with big companies. It may also limit access to information and emails from peace groups, such as Move On and United for Peace and Justice. They might be charged for each email they send out to members. People may be charged more for access to Truthout, Common Dreams, newspaper articles, etc… Controversial, such as anti war or anti establishment, political websites and emails may be blocked. The web was developed by the US govt with our taxes, so big cos. shouldn’t take it over the way they have our public airwaves with TV and radio. Go to www.savetheinternet.com for info.
